If Miranda Kerr is dishing out skincare advice, I'm listening.

The model and beauty boss, who has her own range of organic beauty products, Kora Organics, is always at the forefront of the next big organic beauty trend and with that glowy as hell skin, she's a walking advert for what she preaches.

After converting the world to noni - a powerful superfood and antioxidant containing more than vitamins and minerals, including high amounts of Vitamins A and C - the beauty guru is lauding the benefits of a new super ingredient: kahai oil.

“Kahai Oil has a high concentration of Vitamin A – which is a natural and safe retinol, plus Vitamins E & F to help hydrate, repair and nourish damaged and / or matured skin," she told me.

That’s exactly why she chose it as one of the key ingredients in the Kora Organics Noni Glow Eye Oil, as she says it treats the signs of ageing and assists in smoothing fine lines and softening crow’s feet.

And it seems she's onto something; dermatologists and skin experts are preaching the skin-boosting benefits of kahai oil, with Harley Street Skin Clinic co-founder Lesley Reynolds hailing it as 'the next big thing' in skincare.

"Columbian kahai nut oil contains 50 per cent more Vitamin E than argan oil, as well as high levels of wrinkle fighting retinol," she said. "Kahai is rich in anti-oxidants and also has anti-inflammatory properties."

Kahai Oil, sometimes called Cacay Nut Oil or to use its scientific name Caryodendron Orinocense Oil, is extracted from the nut of the Cacay tree that grows in South America.

"The oil is extracted by cold pressing the flesh of the nut and is a source of fatty acids such as linoleic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid, palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid and myrisitic acid," explains Dr Mervyn Patterson, cosmetic dermatologist from Woodford Medical. "The oil also contains vitamin E and A. It is a clear or light brown liquid with a ‘nutty’ scent."

Lesley adds that unfortunately, for all their multi-tasking properties, oils still tend to get a bad rap when it comes to putting them on the face. "It's a shame as the latest formulations are actually the hidden jewel in the skincare crown," she claims. "They contain countless vitamins and minerals, can be used by all skin types and create a natural protective barrier without blocking pores and, of course, are a valuable weapon in the wrinkle war."

Kahai oil isn't just limited to your face; from your scalp to your nails and feet, there are countless ways to reap the benefits, especially if your skin feels parched.

If it's good enough for Miranda...
